Amanda and Christopher's Wedding

At Sophie Grace Bridal, we love hearing back from our brides. We love receiving photos of our brides on their wedding day. We have such a beautiful, fun and inspiring wedding to share with you all today, captured so perfectly by Karen Ryder Photography.

There were just two things Amanda and Christopher wanted from their wedding day: They wanted the day to be all about them and everything they love. From the non-traditional wedding dress, custom waistcoats, Lego centre pieces and gaming consoles. It was everything they loved and an unforgettable celebration.

The Dress

Amanda chose a gorgeous gown by Catherine Parry Bridal. A strapless sweetheart ballgown in soft organza with a subtle floral print in pastel hues. Perfect for an alternative bride who still wants to feel like a princess. Christopher, on the other hand, teamed his navy suit with custom made waiscoat to match their to two year old son - also happen to be their best man.

What was the most special part of your wedding day?

Apart from the obvious of marrying my soulmate, it has to be having our son as such a key feature to the entire day. Our love for him is as strong as our love for each other.

Any wisdom for future Sophie Grace Bridal Brides?

When it comes to dress shopping stay true to yourself when choosing your perfect dress, even if your choice is alternative like mine was.

What’s the best thing about being married?

Apart from the honour of taking on my husbands' surname and becoming Mrs Hope, it has to be, knowing that we have vowed to spend the rest of our lives together.
