Kate and Andy's Cantley House Hotel Wedding

Happy Friday my lovelies! We are super excited to share another gorgeous real wedding with you today on the blog. At Sophie Grace Bridal, we love hearing back from our brides. We absolutely love seeing pictures of our brides on their special days. Nothing gives us more joy than seeing them feel confident and happy!

The Dress
Our beautiful bride has chosen Paget by La Sposa. This exceptional fit and flare wedding dress features a deep v neckline with delicate laces and beading. The beautiful laces continue over the neckline and shoulders to create an exquisite illusion neckline. The back of the dress is just as gorgeous, featuring a low illusion lace back and delicate fabric covered buttons. The lace details stop just above the hips where the dress then flows into a tight-fitting crepe skirt. The skirt extends into a dramatic train, emphasizing the amazing mermaid silhouette. This is the style for the bride looking for a touch of vintage with a structured simplicity that is truly modern, gifting a perfectly feminine silhouette.

The Wedding Theme
Kate and Andy have chosen to have a spring Easter themed wedding at Cantley House Hotel, with its pretty florals and rustic decarations, it was a perfect day to remember. They celebrated in the Cantley Oak Room and their day was a joy-filled, loved up and very pretty celebration. We just adore the flowers and personal touches, which included purple peonies not to mention the stunning semi-naked cake. Our bride Kate wore an elegant gown by La Sposa. Andy opted for a very sharp suit in dark grey, very stylish indeed.

How did the two of you meet?
We met through the online dating site Plenty of Fish. I had always been single and thought I was destined to remain that way but my friends convinced me to give online dating a try, Andy was the first guy I met through the site and we immediately hit it off.

How did your partner propose?
It was more the other way round! Walking home from a night out, I asked Andy whether he would like to get married at some point and he said definitely and he had actually been looking for a ring but didn't know my ring size! We went out the next day and chose the ring together!

What was the most special part of your wedding day?
Locking eyes with Andy as I walked down the aisle towards him, I don't remember seeing anyone else, just him. We grinned at each other and from that point onwards I don't think we stopped smiling the whole day! Another extra special moment was going for a horse and carriage ride, just the two of us after the ceremony. It was lovely just to be alone for a short while and driving round the streets past people cheering and shouting out their congratulations to us was amazing!

Any wisdom for future Sophie Grace Bridal Brides?
Ask someone you trust to be the point of contact for the venue staff on the day so they can deal with any queries. This allows you to really relax and enjoy your special day together. It goes so very quickly and you will want to remember every part of your amazing day. If something doesn't go quite to plan, don't worry about it, no one will notice!

What’s the best thing about being married?
I feel very lucky to have married my best friend and man I love more than anything. We are a team and together we can deal with anything that comes our way, we proved that even before the wedding when I broke my ankle 4 weeks before the big day!!

Kate and Andy's wonderful images were captured by Diane Frazer Photography. Congratulations to Kate and Andy, we are wishing the newlyweds many years of joy, love and happines together. Thank you for making us part of your special day.
