Bold Ball Gowns: If you're looking to make a dramatic entrance, a classic princess gown is for you and we saw plenty of them at the London Bridal Fashion Week.
Plunging Necklines: The deep V-neckline is a must-try for two reasons: It flatters your upper body and elongates your frame. A plunging V with scalloped lace is ultra-feminine, while a sleek V plays up the inherently sexy vibe of a curve-skimming silhouette.
Captivating Capes: Not into veils? A full-length bridal cape is a perfect alternative. It still adds movement to your gown but feels fashion forward.
Allover Sparkle: Calling all sparkle obsessed brides! Over the top sequins, diamante beading, feathers and embellishments turned the London Bridal Fashion Week runways into a glittery affair. Perfect for evening nuptials under the stars, this trend is daring but sophisticated. Tip: If you're rocking a gown with lots of sparkles, keep your accessories minimal and let your glitzy frock do all the talking.
Feather Fantasy: Bridal designers have gone all out glam!!! Layered skirts, ruffles, feathers and embellishments...More is definitely more when it comes to wedding dresses in 2019. Channelling the maximalism trend, statement sleeves are a gorgeous way to add drama, romance and Insta-worthy style to your dress.
Into the Blue: While the colour blue is nowhere near groundbreaking in bridal, consider donning your wedding dress as a "something blue." Blush and champagne both had their debut and have since become mainstream for the aisle; now, designers like LOU LOU and DIANE LEGRAND are looking to make waves with this cool shade.
Timeless Minimalism: Contemporary cutouts, boyfriend-inspired suiting, and clean cuts are all on offer to those looking to stand out from the Chantilly-clad pack.
Veil Talk: This traditional accessory is having a major moment but this time with unique twists. Strategically designed embroideries and pieced lace veils are more statement than accent in 2019. Designers are encouraging that brides see veils as not only an add on to the wedding gown but as a part of an overall look.
Bohemian Bride: Polished effortlessness that is less festival-inspired and feels fresh. Think draped or puff sleeves and collars that are reminiscent of Victoriana, but more rustic than regal.
Veil Alternatives: The traditional veil is a gorgeous choice, but lots of modern brides are choosing to turn convention on its head. In 2019 expect to see a huge rise in brides choosing unexpected – and showstopping- alternatives to the veil.
